This tutorial aims to demonstrate a procedure for downloading a project to a Xpress device through the USB port.

1. ARCHITECTURE
In the architecture of this tutorial, a USB Flash Drive containing the file with the project to be downloaded will be connected to the USB port of the XP325.
2. DEVELOPMENT
In this tutorial, a procedure will be demonstrated to download the project through a USB Flash Drive connected to the USB port of the Xpress.
First, with the USB Flash Drive formatted to FAT32 and connected to the computer where the project is located, open it in the MasterTool IEC XE software. In the Communication tab on the top bar of the software, click on Create Initialization Application.
The Save initialization application window will open. To save the Application.app file, select the root of the USB Flash Drive and click Save.
After performing these steps, the .app and .crc files should be saved in the root of the USB Flash Drive, as shown in the image below:
Finally, with the Xpress powered off, connect the USB Flash Drive to its USB port and power it on. This way, the Xpress will start the application and assume the IP address of the project created in the initialization application.
